IP Office
I installed 2 viking door phones on the IP Office and programmed all necessary short codes, I have the door phones hooked up the analog extensions and ringing extesion 506 and the other phones with a bridged appearance of 506. The problem is the door phones ring 3 times but the extensions only ring once. I extended the call coverage time on extension 506 but that did not help. Any ideas? The door phones are viking E-20B-EWP.
Thanks, Brad |

Re: IP Office
Why not set the doorphones to ring a group using a hotline, and put all users in that group. Label it doorphone.... or back door and front door....etc.

Re: IP Office
if you need to differentiate the door phones so you know if they are calling from the front or back doors...make 2 hunt groups. Call one front and the other back....otherwise just make 1.
Include all users you want to be alerted when someone picks up the door phone, into the Door group. under each of the door phones short codes, make a new code: ?D (put hunt group ext number in the Number field) Dial direct. (you may need to play with the feature depending on the systems release) line group 0 merge that and when the door phones are picked up, they will call the group you tell it to, and display the name of the group, so users could tell if it was front or back. Hope this helps.
