IP 403 connecting a 2420 DCP phone

anyone connected a 2420 to a IP office 403, the question..
Can you use the feature of this DCP phone to rename the labels?
This style of phone is the desi-less model

Tech support told me the 2420 is supported but you can not change the labels.
