Ip Office 4.0 (7) Not upgrading firmware

I have loaded 4.0 (7) and for some reason when I plug my phone in I get the please wait then it goes to System Incompatiable. I am using 5410D phones. Can Anyone help?

Are all the expansion units upgraded as well? If not that could be a problem.

If they are, check the IP address of the TFTP server. That needs to be set correctly. open the tftp viewer and check that the working directory is pointing to the manager folder so it knows where the files are.

Actually I my tftp server was locking up. But apparently This is a common problem with 4.0 (7).

If the TFTP server is locking up, that is the problem. I have multiple 4.0.7's out and have never had a problem with the TFTP server locking up. Keep us posted

Beware of the following issue when upgrading to 3.57 and above.

I got a copy of TFTP server32 from Avaya. It is far better to use a TFTP server other than the one provided with Manager as Manager can only download the firmware to 4 5410's at a time, making a system upgrade to a large site take hrs.
