Dropped calls in 4.0

this is a new problem for me and my first time deploying 4.0 which has been a nightmare, i have an IPO 406 V2 with the first release of 4.0, the major problem that i am having with it is that it will drop outgoing calls, the user will dial out and it will show the dialed number then drop and the user will dial again and it goes through, it happens about 1 out of 15 or so dialed calls, is this a bug in 4.0 and should i upgrade or is there a setting i should look into, any suggestions???
Thank you

Re: Dropped calls in 4.0

Hi ise,
Sounds like an issue with one of your lines.
How many lines do you have?
What sort of service are they i.e. PSTN, ISDN e.t.c.
What does the System Status tool say about the line status?
Is there any ARS setup?

Re: Dropped calls in 4.0

Sunburnt is correct. My guess is you have a dead analog line in the pool (line group) somewhere.

If you know all the phone numbers on the phone system, call them from a cell phone, while watching SSA. You can see the trunk they come in on and if you hear ringing or busy with no reaction from SSA, you will know that you have a dead line.

Good luck, let us know.

Re: Dropped calls in 4.0

The line ended up being the culprit.
This is what happened, we checked all the lines, dial tone, dialed out and recieved calls, but one of the lines was bent and loose, so it was making a connection part of the time and making the ipo look at fault. Thanks for the replys hopefully this helps someone else
