VOIP / VPN – advantages of proprietary Avaya VPN gear to make Avaya VOIP calls?
Which advantages do we have when using the avaya’s propietary firewall product: the Security Gateway (SG200) to establish VPN connections over which the IP calls between Avaya phones will be done? I know certainly that regarding the pbx - phones set, its not only good but almost mandatory using Avaya-only gear, but regarding VPN I think that brands like linksys (for example) has very fine products, has anybody made the test? |

I have multiple sites using linksys routers for remote terminals (2 or 3 IP phones each) No problems what so ever.
I see lots of Cisco PIX units out there. |
