4.0 Issues

Hello, I recently upgraded a 406v2 running 3.2(55) to 4.0 and am experiencing some issues. Here is a list:

1) Embedded Voicemail AA is now producing a flash ring when a call comes in, when before the phones were silent.

2) When a transfer is done from the AA menu, there is no ring sound, only silence until someone picks up.

3) There is a ~10 second delay in connecting an outgoing call over an ATM4 trunk module.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Adam

Re: 4.0 Issues

Well, since no one seems to have any input, here is what I have figured out:

1) Embedded Voicemail AA is now producing a flash ring when a call comes in, when before the phones were silent.

This was being caused by a line appearance on the users phone which was also being routed to the auto-attendant. The fix was to set the new 4.0 "Ring Delay" feature for each user to not ring on the line appearance buttons.
2) When a transfer is done from the AA menu, there is no ring sound, only silence until someone picks up.
This I have yet to figure out. I believe that when the call is transferred from the AA that the call is held and then the extension alerting is done via ringback. I'm not sure why this is happening.

3) There is a ~10 second delay in connecting an outgoing call over an ATM4 trunk module.
This was caused by having a 9911 shortcode enabled as well as the new ARS feature enabled through the 9 shortcode. I simply deleted the 9911 shortcode and then used only ARS.

Re: 4.0 Issues

Issue number 2 - I had the same problem, Avaya told me ring-back tone is not available when using AA with embedded voice mail. So I have added MOH for the caller to hear when transferring to an extension from the AA.
