Hi all,
I'm just trying to figure something out for my own benefit here. I'm still a newbie when it comes to shortcodes but I had made a change in my config (3.2 btw) to display my outgoing number by inserting "Ns18709999999" in the telephone number field of a shortcode that is [9]1xxxxxxxxxx, Dial, Ns18709999999. Also shortcode [9]xxxxxxx same as above for local calls. This did display the appropriate number but all of a sudden, I couldn't dial out a number eg. 834-3333. It would show "DISCONNECTED". Most numbers dialed fine, just those beginning with an 8. I fixed it by removing the 1 from the telephone number Ns8709999999 instead. Can someone explain why this acted this way? When the system matches a shortcode and dials a number does it go back through trying to match a shortcode on that number? Is it possible I still have a problem? Thanks. |

Re: IPO 412 & Outgoing CLID
FYI, the correct thing to put would be Nsi8709999999 (note that I put an i instead of a 1). This will cause the IPO to insert the country code (1) only on international calls. Normally for domestic calls the 1 should not be sent, and can cause all sorts of funky things to happen.
