IP406v2 DTMF

I am experiencing a random issue with an IP406v2 installation where after a random period of time, the system seems to stop passing DTMF tones through to the other end. This includes local embedded voicemail as well as remote auto-attendants. The only fix so far is to reboot the unit. The phones are 5410s and the system is running 3.2(53) software. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it?

Thanks,
Adam

Re: IP406v2 DTMF

Is this with IP phones?

We've experienced this problem with IP phones, but not with digital.

No solution, though, sorry...

Re: IP406v2 DTMF

Yes, they are 5410 digital handsets. The only thing that I have been able to locate that may be a possible answer is from the caveat page on Avaya's site.
I am wondering if this is my problem:

CQ31663

DTMF tones not passed by DS phones on a CMProceeding message

Found in: 3.1.65

Fix Target: MT_RELEASE_FEB07_3.2

Does anyone know what a CMProceeding message is? I know I have seen them in my monitor logs, but what exactly does it stand for?

Re: IP406v2 DTMF

It's an interim call control message - they are used to pass information about the progress of a call and need to be evaluated in context (meaning, what is happening before and after - it could be a call setup, continuation, or teardown step - you can't tell just by looking at one message).

For example, in that one line of a trace output you pasted, it looks like something is being released from the far end - what is being released cannot be determined. It could be a trunk or an inprogress call attempt (no answer) or a call being torn down or....

Re: IP406v2 DTMF

Update:

Upgrading to 3.2(55) seemed to rectify this issue.
