Re: Remote 5610 to contact a IP406 V3.2.54
Yes it can be done as long as you're using routable (public) IP addresses. If you have to go through a router (for example if using pppoe via an adsl connection) then it must be capable of turning NAT off.

Re: Remote 5610 to contact a IP406 V3.2.54
Supposedly it can be done, check this action out:
http://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/v...-vpnrphone.pdf Just like the Communication Manager. I believe the VPN license for the phone costs $$, but at least this way you don't need a VPN hardware device. We haven't tried it yet, but are going to do so in the next few days... |

Re: Remote 5610 to contact a IP406 V3.2.54
also he needs a 4610 instead of a 5610
and he needs a vpn router at the office i think for one phone another vpn router is much cheaper then the license and a 4610 |

Re: Remote 5610 to contact a IP406 V3.2.54
That's interesting...
We're getting it to work on IP Office with NO WebLM Server... therefore no license neccesary. If we don't give the phone a WebLM server address, it doesn't ask for one, and it doesn't say that it'll only work for 30 days... Is this working as designed, or an Avaya 'oops' ? We're going to play with it for at least 30 days, and see what happens... |
