Currently we are running VM Pro and IMS. Due to legal reasons we do not want to have Voicemail messages hit our e-mail system. I was asked if VM Pro or IMS was capable of doing the following.

1. Send an E-mail "alert only" when you receive a VM.
2. Have a link insinde that e-mail that you can click that will take you to the .WAV VM file so you can have the option to play the VM to your PC spearkers.
3. Once you listen to or delete the message turn off the MWI.

A tech at Avaya said it can de done but I don't beleive them. I am thinking there may be some custom programming that would need to be done to accomplish this or a 3rd part VM system or interface.

Any info or suggestions would be great.

Yes: This is the way IMS works if you DO NOT check the "embed" or "attach" to email check boxes. In that case, the IMS system "streams" the voicemail message to the PC speakers when the player is brought up but no file attachement or embedded file arrives on your email server when notification is sent.
