passing caller=id across pri

I have an ip office with a PRI going into it. I don't have the carrier passing caller-id and name. I want the pbx to do this. The installer said this was configured to have each DID pass but only the area code and exchange are coming across. how do I fix that?

Look at the outbound short code. You'll prob see "s111222" where 111 is your area code and 222 is the exchange. What's missing is the extension. It SHOULD read "s111222E" ... with the capital "E" on the end of the string the IP Office will append the extension number to the outbound caller ID. Therefore, on any stations that are NOT DID numbers, you should create either a User Restriction with outbound short codes that send your main number (i.e. "s4076463131") or the place specific outbound short codes into those individual station's short code tabs with your main number as the caller ID.

Use the short caode for the pilot number and substitue your DDI in that code. That code needs to be in the Users short code table.

Right, copy the short code in system short codes. Paste it in the user short codes, and replace the DDI with the correct numbers.

Unhappy Re: passing caller=id across pri

hmm i just checked. seems like there is no short code for my pilot number.
When i click on "Line" on the left hand side menu, I have 2 PRI and 4 BRI. When i click on short code tab for each one of them, i get no short codes at all.
Am i looking in the right place?

Thanks!

Re: passing caller=id across pri

insert an 'A' in your short-code ("Allow the calling number sent with the call to be used. This character may be required by service providers in some locales")

Re: passing caller=id across pri

You have no control of the name. That comes from the lec. Find out from them if there is a way to turn the name off......
