Automatic rerouting of outbound calls to POTS lines if T1 PRI goes down
Is there any way to reroute outbound calls to go over POTS lines if the T1 PRI goes down? I know I can do it if both the T1 lines and the POTS lines are in the same group ID, but the customer dosen't want outbound calls over the POTS line unless there is a failure. The POTS lines are in another group ID. I am trying to use LCR to reroute but I am not having any luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Chris |

Re: Automatic rerouting of outbound calls to POTS lines if T1 PRI goes down
Yes, LCR is the only working possibility.
For LCR to work you need to take in mind that only the numbers wich are send to the trunk will pas through LCR and not the shortcode wich invoked the call. If all external calls are made with a "9" as a line access then you will have a shortcode like this: SC=9N TN=N Line ID = 0 Function = call In LCR only the value in TN will be checked so you need to enter shortcodes like this Main SC = 0N TN = 0N Line ID = 0 Funct = dial SC = 1N TN = 1N Line ID - 0 Funct = diall 1st Alternative SC = 0N TN = 0N Line ID = 1 Funct = Dial etc. Note that these ShortCodes do not need a semicolon at the end of the number and in LCR you can't use the ? as a wildcard. i think you get the picture now. |
