406 v2 Expansion Port Distance Limitations

I was wondering what the distance limitations were for connecting expansion modules to the IP 406 v2 system. I would like to put a Digital Station 30 in a wiring closet that isn't in the same room as the IP406, is this possible?

Re: 406 v2 Expansion Port Distance Limitations

I am testing this question today. We have a customer site that may require a module 100 feet away. I am aware that Avaya states to only use the cable included with the modules. I will post the result.

One meter with a shielded CAT5 cable.
Longer cables will decrease stability and if too long it will not work at all.

Also, be aware that if you use anything other than the Avaya supplied cable they WILL NOT support your install.

Tested with a cat5e cable length of 102 feet and module was not recognized by the 406v2 in our lab.
