Call transfer

We use ISDN BRI trunk for calling out.

Presently we are able to TRANSFER an incoming call to an external number (thereby occupying both channels).

However, we are unable to TRANSFER an outgoing call to another outgoing call. How can we enable this?

Re: Call transfer

You almost answered the question yourself. Using IP Office Manager, in the configuration look for the option Allow Outgoing Transfer on the System | Telephony tab.

Re: Call transfer

Thanks.

We dont have a "Allow Outgoing Transfer" in System/Telephony tab but instead have "Inhibit Off-switch Calls".

Here is the HELP definition of "Inhibit Off-switch Calls":
When on, bars any calls (internal or external) from being diverted or forwarded off switch.

Our seeting for this had already been Off and that is why we have been able to TRANSFER inbound to outbound. The problem is that we are not able to TRANSFER outbound to outbound.
