Accessing Voicemail Though PMP

We want to be able to access voicemail messages by simply clicking the voicemail icon under the messages tab in PMP. I heard you could add the V<ext> to the source numbers tab but that didn't work. I tried it first with just the extension of the phone, for example V928. After merging configs, I then went to PMP and double-clicked this voicemail icon under messages and it still asked for the ext. and password.

Can this not be done this way? We want it to be simple by just clicking the icons under messages an dnot have to enter the ext and password.

Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like you are using VMPro in Intuity mode.
You can use a "Get Mail" in the Collect default start point. This will allow users to go straight into their mailboxes.

Re: Accessing Voicemail Though PMP

The trick of customizing the Voicemail Pro start point does work for mailbox access from Phone Manager.

So, in the Voicemail Pro client, open the Default Start Points and then click on Collect. In the right-hand panel add a Get Mail action. No need to adjust its settings. Save and make live.

The above will affect all users, so you may need to do it under a custom start point for those individual users who want it. Or in the GetMail action, add a $ to the Pin field so user still have to enter their mailbox passcode (this can't be overridden by V number entries).
