Hunt group overflow to overhead page?
Does anyone know if it is possible to have a hunt group overflow to an overhead paging speaker, and how to do it? If our receptionist hunt group is away from their desk or otherwise occupied, I would like to have the call overflow to the paging system, so that the call would ring overhead. Then, anyone can pickup the call. We've got a IPO 406 with 5610 and 5620 phones.
Thanks Tom |

Re: Hunt group overflow to overhead page?
You would need night ringer equipment tied into your paging system with a second analog station port to the night ringer. Then, add that analog port into a new hunt group and give everyone a pickup code or button for that group.

Re: Hunt group overflow to overhead page?
Another option I was wondering about is whether a .wav file can be played over the paging system when the hunt group goes into overflow. Then, anyone can pick up the call. Is this possible and would it be a shortcode, a script in VMPro or a combination?
Thanks Tom |
