Voicemail Pro - Offsite Recording?

We had some icy weather recently and wanted to change the message on the company Voicemail Pro 2.1 system without leaving home. The Wave Editor allows us to enter an extension from which to record the new message, but we can't fit enough numbers in the box to make the system call us at home. Is there some other way to record a greeting from a remote location? Thanks. -Glenn.

Re: Voicemail Pro - Offsite Recording?

That feature only works for onsite phones, which is why you couldn't enter enough digits for an external telephone number.

What you need to do instead is build a recordings module with a menu and "edit play list" tokens. Then you can dial in from outside and select a hidden option (say 7 or 8) that takes you to the module. Set a pin on the start token and you are password protected. To re-record, you would call your main or backdoor number, press the hidden option (say 7), enter your pin, then choose the recording to re-record - 1 for the day menu, 2 for the night menu, or however you set it up. Play around with the edit play list token and you'll see what I mean.
