Voicemail Confidentiality

Using:
IP403 v3.0 (535),
E1 Trunks,
DT30 modules v5.0 (535),
IP400 module v5.0 (535),
DT3 & Interquartz handsets,
VMPro v3.0 (15)

Does anyone know how to suppress the recording/playback of CLI info in a VMPro message. We run a confidential prostate cancer helpline and while I can prevent nurses seeing CLI at the handset, I can't seem to stop them hearing timestamp/CLI in VM messages.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Re: Voicemail Confidentiality

A Simple solution would be to have CLIP turned off on your circuit
this would also result in a cost saving because BT charge for this feature

Re: Voicemail Confidentiality

Ah yes, but...
Then I won't be able to join Ofcom's geographic numbering plan data in my reporting DB (I've written a win32 service that captures Delta2 events and squirts the SMDR rec's into an MSSQL DB for analysis/accounting).

ALSO.. I've now discovered that the Interquartz analog handsets/IP403 still sends outbound CLI even if the dialled number is prefixed with 141 (actually a 141. dial shortcode does this).. any ideas?

Re: Voicemail Confidentiality

using the following short code should prevent out going CLI

SC ?
TN .W
Feature Dial

although I have seen some LCR providers in the UK ignore the withold CLI flag & still present it when they shouldent

Re: Voicemail Confidentiality

Interestingly enough, the W feature causes BT to present our network number (the first number in our MSI range) on outbound calls. Am going to take this up with them.

Thanks for help so far - i'll let you know if I find a resolution.
