Call any number, press Hold, call another number, press conference. Easy not? Another way : Create a shortcode like this: SC = *690 or any other code wich can be used TN = "MyConf" > this may verywell be a number if you wish Line ID = 0 Action = ConferenceMeetMe Anyone dialling *690 will go into your conference, sending a incoming call route to the shortcode make it acessible from external. You can create as many shortcodes for different conferences as you like. |

Re: Setup a conference bridge in IP Office 403
Simpler with a DS or IP phone - dial the first party, press "Conference", dial the second party, press "Conference" again.
Actually 'AvayaNightmares', I and Corhavelaar are being a bit cheeky but one of the strengths and problems of the IP Office is that it can be so flexible it does things even Avaya never thought off. ?What sort of conference scenarios are you thinking about; internal users setting up their own adhoc conferences; a receptionist setting up conferences for others; external callers calling in to join conferences? ?A lot will also depend on the components within your IP Office system; SoftConsole and Voicemail Pro both have features to assist with conferencing. And then there's the whole IP Office Conference Center server application! The more you can outline, the better the answers will get. |

How you setup a conference bridge ass already mentioned depends on how complicated you want things & how much money you wish to give Avaya

Re: Setup a conference bridge in IP Office 403
Normally, if you want a conference bridge, you want external people to access it.
As they said, create a shortcode *91 tel num: 100 line:0 feature: conference meet me create another shortcode 780 tel num: "Conf100" line:0 feature: Voicemail Collect Send an incoming call route to 780 Now in VM Pro; Add a new module called Conf100 Give it a check digits action with a greeting(that you record) for an entry prompt EX: You have reached XYZ Corp. conference bridge, please enter your pin number followed by the # sign Put that pin in the digits to match field Connect the true option to an assisted transfer module Connect the false and timeout to a transfer to operator (or somebody that could assist the customer) In the assisted transfer module enter *91 in the transfer to field and conference in the display on phone field Save and make live Now, internally, people cah dial 780 and put in the pin# and be tranferred to the bridge without tying up a trunk. Externally, people can call the DID you assigned, enter the pin# and be transferred to the bridge ***** As with anything on the IPO, Conf100 has to be spelled and spaced the same everywhere and needs to be placed inside of quotation marks in the 780 shortcode This method works great for my customers without having to purchase any additional software. Hope it helps you. Last edited by greskit; November 23rd, 2005 at 04:45 PM. |

First off, thanks for all the posts and sorry about me getting back a bit late - was off on vacation.
Thanks "corhavelaar": Your solution is pretty straight forward. I think "greskit" and you are implying the same steps. I will do that within the next few days and update you guys. Thanks "Sizbut", "IPguru": I understand your willingness to extend your help asking more about the equipments and ease of spending. Its pretty limited. I was exploring a software solution that can be used with the system we have since I have heard people do it - just did not have the approach. Greskit - thanks for sending in the details. I will follow your steps and hopefully be able to get the solution to work. Thanks again for being so descriptive. |
