I have a question w/Small Community Networking with (2) 406V2

Hi Everyone.

1) Anybody know if you can Park a call on site A, and pick it up on site B? Share Park Zones 1,2,3,4?
I can't find any docs to confirm or deny.

2) Anybody know if I can Log a User off on Site B - and Log him back on at Site A? You know, dial *36... walk across the street... dial *35*Npassword#?
-didn't seem to work, we tried using a Login Code( creating a 'Hot Desk' App.

Any help would be be great.

This is a cool site, using Proxim Wireless APs to network (2) 406V2s. Sites are a block away from each other. cpF

For your application you should be using remote IP hardphones as extensions on the main site instead of digital/ip extension as part of the remote.

Thanks for the feedback.

We choice (2) 406V2 with digital sets because there are (30) sets on both sites. Also there is alot of 'local' site traffic. We wanted to have local site 'fail over' if required, also limit traffic across the tie to messaging and outbound PRI calls.

I completely understand why you did it.

One thing to keep in mind is that the IP hardphones do have a failover option that can be configured via the 46xxsettings.scr. You can set them up to register with a remote switch but in the event of a failure in the IP trunk the phones will go to discovery and then register with the local PBX. They will not failback so when the trunk is restored you will need to reboot the phones to get them to re-register with the primary PBX.

1) Can't do it.

2) Upgrade to 4.0 or higher, get an Advanced Small Community Networking license. Then you can Hotdesk over the SCN.
