Automatic recording

Hello.. ipoffice 412..

We wanted to setup some automatic call recording .. so it recorded like 10% of the calls and then delivered them a mailbox I have setup.

My question is.. is there a better way to be doing this? like through voicemail pro?

the second problem.. whenever it does record.. it comes up on their display "Recording"
so it is almost pointless because the users know they are being recorded (its for a callcenter)..

thanks.. any help is appreciated!!!

Re: Automatic recording

?How are you doing it if not through Voicemail Pro!

As to the recording prompt, look on the System | System tab for an option named something like (working from memory here) 'Hide Recording'.

Re: Automatic recording

I have just been using manager to do the automatic recordings.. going to the users I want and then choosing record on and then picking what mailbox it sends it to.

How do you set this up in voicemail pro?

Re: Automatic recording

The method you're using is the simplest way, and pretty flexible now that you can specify into which mailbox the recordings go.

My confusion stemmed from the fact that though the recording is triggered by the Manager settings - its still your VMPro that does the actual recording.

Re: Automatic recording

System tab>

Hide auto record: Default = On (USA)/Off (ROW)
During call recording by Voicemail Pro, some Avaya terminals display REC to show that the call is being recorded. When on, Hide auto record suppresses this recording indication.
