2 Problems..Phone manager & Call Waiting
Hi,
I've got a couple of, hopefully, easy to answer questions: Q1> I'm trying to use the login/out feature in Phone Manager Pro on just a few agents within a group. But, when I set this up at the users desk and click 'ok', it logs out the agent. So I manually login the agent and then Phone manager loses it! I set up this feature on a normal, non group phone and it works as it's supposed to, when I close Phone Manager, it logs off the associated phone, and the same when I launch Phone Manager, it logs the phone in. Is it set so you can only use this feature on non group member phones? Q2> I need to get call waiting on a a supervisors extension, who is a member of a group. But, when I enable it in Phone Manager, it doesn't work. I tried short code *15(enable call waiting) but still won't work. I understand that to have call waiting on the group, I need to enable call waiting on the group, then enable call waiting on the particular group members, but I thought I could set it on an individual basis, irrispective of whenther the person is in a group or not. But, it looks like I need to set call waiting on the group, but disable call waiting on every user in that group, exept the person that needs it. But again, will this mess up queuing on the said group? I wonder if any of this makes sense to anyone? Maybe I'll just say it can't be done,eh?!?! Thanks |

If you have force login enabled make sure you do not have a login code. Just leave the field blank. Q2> I need to get call waiting on a a supervisors extension, who is a member of a group. But, when I enable it in Phone Manager, it doesn't work. I tried short code *15(enable call waiting) but still won't work. Call waiting for huntgroups is only compatible with Ring Group, if you are attempting to use CW with any other HG ring method you are going to get spotty results. In 3.1 you will be unable to select CW for any ring type other than group. That being said you are correct you must enable CW for the group and then disable the personal CW for any agent whos phone you do not wish to ring. Kyle |
