VMPro Auto Attendant
I am trying to get my Auto Attendant to answer on the first ring. I have programmed an incoming call route for all lines to go to my short code of *92. The short code is as follows;
Short Code:*92 Telephone number: #Attendant1 Line group ID :0 Feature: VoicemailNode When I call any of the numbers, it still takes 4 rings before my attendant answers the call. I don’t get it, any ideas? |

Re: VMPro Auto Attendant
You cold always do this the hard way.
Create a shortcode: SC: 666 Number: "Attendant Shortcode in VM Pro" Line Group ID:0 Feature: VoiceMailNode Create an extension: Ext:667 Forward unconditional to :666 Create a Hunt Group: Name:AutoAttendant Ext:2xx Allocated Answer: 5 seconds Add extension 667 to the hunt group. Turn off queing, voicemail and any other unneeded features. Now point your incoming routes to the hunt group "AutoAttendant" Your calls should go to the attendant right off the bat now. Hope that helps some Chris |

Re: VMPro Auto Attendant
you need to point this to a VM Module via your incoming call routes, E.g.
Incoming No. 34567631... Destn. VM:MainNo this will answer immediately, be carefull with this, depending on where the site is based in the world it is "illegal" *scoff* for a call to be answered without atleast 4 bursts of ring!?

Re: VMPro Auto Attendant
Try using this shortcode:
Short Code:*92 Telephone number: "Attendant1" Line group ID :0 Feature: VoicemailCollect Going through shortcodes in VMPro adds ringing to the call. On a PRI, using the above shortcode the outside caller wouldn't hear any rings. It would just answer the call and start playing the wav file. |

Re: VMPro Auto Attendant
Do you have analog trunks with ICLID? If so you'll never get it to answer in less than 2 rings.
The shortest method to have it answer is to build the AA as a module and enter VM:Attendant1 in the incoming call route.
