Set outgoing CIDname
I saw a post on here that showed how to set the outgoing callerid number
Ns1231231234 (very helpful) Question 1- I'm wondering if it is possible to also place the persons name for caller id display. I've mucked around a bit and can't seem to set it. Question 2- Also I was wondering if there was a way to set the outgoing number and have it be a tad dynamic. I'm trying to match the number with the DID used for inbound calling to that number. example. I have a did 3812 that goes to my extension 218 that works as expected. When I place a call it shows my number as being 3-812. Once I set the s<5555553812> option my number now shows as 555-555-3812 but it would be nice if I could set 1 short code that did this for all my extensions (dynamicly). something like s<555555Z> where Z being 3812 for me but 3813 for the user who is assocaited with that did.... is it possible? (I found E which is the extension, unfortunatly my DIDs don't have any coorelation with the extensions...) FW is 3.0(5901). IP office 403 USA Thanks, -Matt Last edited by mbegan; September 26th, 2005 at 07:24 PM. |

Re: Set outgoing CIDname
Hi Matt,
Q1- No, it has to be a number within the DID range provided. Q2-I too have played around with this and as such know of no way to make the number dynamic. As far as i know, you can only go out as the one number. Cheers |

Re: Set outgoing CIDname
Hi,
I know it is a bir different in the US when setting the default call shortcode (only setup 2 box's in the US but a s#$^load here in Oz) but in Oz we set the default shortcode as follows: SC: ? TN: . Line Grp: 0 Feateure: Dial By setting it this, if I have a hundred number range pointing to unique extensions, then by default if extension 5218 dials it it will use the it direct in dial number from the incoming call route on the way out I.e. DID is 36545218, extension is 5218, when it dials it sends 36545218 by default. Can the same be acheived in a US config, I understand the dot gets replaced by N etc etc, but possible?

Re: Set outgoing CIDname
I am not sure whether a name can be inserted in the isdn call setup msg or not but I would sugest you are most likly to get a result if you experiment with the "K" parameter in your short codes
"K - Place the digits following the "K" in the outgoing call's Keypad field rather than Called Number field. Only supported on ISDN/QSIG. " Good luck

Re: Set outgoing CIDname
Under the incomming route instead of putting the last 4 digits put the entire number 1234567890 and that will take care of sending the entire number back to the telco or you could buildthe Ns1234567890 under ever user as a short code and it will send the 1234567890 also
