Question Phone Manager and Login

I have a customer that has several users that use Phone Manager when they are off site. But when they are in the office they want to login to a Hard phone.

Here is what is happening ... IPO 403 with version 3.0(44). The users are set up for VOIP. I added a Login Code and they can login to the Phone just fine. But when they try to use Phone Manager the get the following error " Failed to Register with IP Office for VOIP operation.

If I remove the Login Code the Phone Manager works fine but they can not login to the phone.

They are logged out of Phone Manager when trying to login to the Phone and Logged off the phone when they try to login to Phone Manager.

With out creating another ext for each user and having it forward to the other Ext and have the Voicemail redirect to the main ext is there away to get this working so they will only have the one Ext?

Re: Phone Manager and Login

I have to create two extensions per user - one normal and one ip. Their phone manager type is set to Voip and that hoses up them user phone manager at the office.

Re: Phone Manager and Login

Here is another option I just found...

If you are in the Office and want to use a desk phone Open Phone Manager on your PC.

1- If you login Automaticly click on Configue and PBX.
2- At the Login screen click the Login>> button on the right.
3- Check the box next to Login/Logout and enter the Ext # that is displayed on the phone you are sitting by.
4- Click OK

This will log you into the Phone and Phone Manger. You can turn off Pop screen on incoming calls and minimize PM and use the desk phone while you are in the office.

I am still testing this but so far it has worked for me.
