VMPro

I have a phone-line (tel#123-4567) configured on my IP Office. Through 'Incoming Call Route' I am routing the line to VMPro. In the VMPro, the call is directed to my physical extension (ext#2020).

If I call my extension (#2020) directly from my mobile and I do not answer my extension then of course the call is treated as a 'no answer' and there is no charge applied to my mobile.

If I call the phone-line (#123-4567) from my mobile, the call is correctly routed my extension (#2020). However the moment my extension starts to ring the call is treated as 'answered' and I get a charge applied on my mobile - even if I do not answer my extension!

I think the problem happens when the call is handed over from IPO to VMPro. VMPro 'answers' the call and then looks at the conditions and routes the call accordingly. Is there a way to overcome this problem?

Thanks.

Re: VMPro

!You answered it yourself. Set the incoming call route to go direct to your extension. If after the allocated answer interval or if your extension is busy, the call will go to voicemail automatically.

Re: VMPro

Thanks for your responce.

However, I must route the call thru VMPro.

Line ---> IPO ---> VMPRo ---> Ext

I guess the question is: how do I get VMPro to simply handover the call from IPO to Ext without intercepting it (the billing issue arise when the VMPro intercepts the call).

Re: VMPro

Yes, yes, yes - you answered the question yourself - the call is answered the moment it goes to VMPro, regardless of what you the caller are hearing. The VMPro has to do this in order to perform functions such as listening for fax tone and DTMF dialing digits.

Please could you explain why it's not acceptable to route the call direct to your extension?
