IP OFFICE 412, 2.1.. Transfering Calls

Hi,

we are using ip office 412, ver 2.1. When we transfer calls, like say the operator, once she sends the call thru there is no indication that the call has came thru like a beep or anything. Its not a huge deal but I was just curious if anyone knew of a way to make it so it beeps when the transfer is going thru????

thanks,

Nate

Not sure I follow exactly what you're describing, but before any kind of troubleshooting is worthwhile please confirm that you are NOT running 2.1.15 firmware. If so, upgrade it immediatley to 2.1.35 or 3.0.40 and then we'll talk (if you still have the problem) :-)

Re: IP OFFICE 412, 2.1.. Transfering Calls

Not exactly sure where to check the firmware version, but I did select advanced / upgrade and it said current version is 2.1 (27) ...

But to better to describe my problem..:

Lets say the receptionist receives a call and she needs to transfer me. She first calls me and lets me know who it is and asks if I would like to speak to them or not. If i accept then she goes back to the caller hits transfer then my extension. I hear nothing, just silence.. nothing indicating the caller has been sent thru.. you just hear silence.. and have to kind of just blurt out .. hello? or something to make sure the caller is actually on the line..

I hope that makes sense..

I don't see anywhere else to check the version.. Is there another place?

this is just the way an "announced transfer" works. By the way, upgrade your firmware, many "unqualified features" fix's
