Re: Manager Versions

Yes you can use the DT manager on all the previous 2.1, and before versions of system. However you should not use it to manage a 3.0 GR system.

The versions seem to go 1.x - 2.0(x) - 2.1(x) - 3.0 (531) - 3.0(40)

You can manage systems down the chain - but not up it.

Re: Manager Versions

Just to clarify, 5.0.40 has no known problems with the DT modules all the way back to at least 2.0.18?

Re: Manager Versions

although manager can be used to administer earlier versions of IPO it is not recommended (especialy between major release versions ie using V2.X on a V1.X system). using a later manager will bloat the cfg with un-necessary data. also V3.0 has drasticaly changed some options & would result in some data loss.

Re: Manager Versions

We have had corrupting within 2.1 also, using a 4.1.15 amanger on a 2.1.27 or 2.1.31 system and vice versa etc. Avaya are now saying you must use EXACTLY the same version manager as the system. This is expected to change with version 3.2.....(hopefully) ....

We just load on manager 5.0.40, and them copy all the previous Manager.exe files into the Manager directory (obviously renaming them Manager 2_1_15.exe etc)
Seems to work OK most times.
