Question Connect anIPO406 to a Vodavi XTS

PROBLEM: Need to connect an IPO406 and Vodavi XTS together
USAGE: For inter-office and transferring calls within the same workspace but different systems
HELP: Anyone have an idea on how to do this??

The Story:
My company is opening up a new office but sharing the space with an existing tenant that we will be working closely with. Even though the two companies will work in the same space, neither is willing to give up their phone system and POTS lines. My company will use an IPO406 ver3.0 at this site (install date: mid-May). The existing tenant has a Vodavi XTS (using TDM, not VoIP) installed already. Upon installation, the IPO406 will be a stand-alone system. w/ 4 GS POTS lines.

Extended Story:
This IPO406 will eventually be connected viaIP to my main site that has a IPO412 and another remote site that has an IPO403. The IPO412 and IPO403 will be upgraded from 2.1.27 to 3.0 with a week. The IPO412 site also has a VP Pro Server, a CCC Server and an ECAS (call accounting) PC. Yes, there is interoffice dialing between the IPO412 and IPO403 via a data connection.

....any takers? Thanks in advance!

Re: Connect anIPO406 to a Vodavi XTS

Keep it simple - connect analog station ports to analog (LS) trunk ports. Depending on how much cross-company traffic you expect, 1-2 of each should be sufficient - ie 1-2 POTS on IPO to 1-2 LS on Vodavi, and 1-2 POTS on Vodavi to 1-2 LS on IPO.

Some simple programming then allows everyone to call each other. Depending on the vodavi's ability to send CLI on its POTS ports and receive CLI on its trunk ports, you should be able to display the calling station's extension number although you won't get the name. Of course on the IPO the directory feature will take care of that detail for you...
