VM Pro Message Waiting Light

Can anyone confirm that a Hunt Group Message light should alert an agent phone in that group if it logs on after the message has been left. i.e If I am an agent logged on to my 2030 handset and a message is left in the hunt groups mailbox it will alert my phone straight away, if however my phone is not logged on for example in the morning untill i manually go and check for any messages it does not alert me? 2.1 (27) s/w v/m pro at 2.1(10) running the 2.1(14) vmservice executable.

Please let me know if you have any ideas!!

After logging in, try going off-hook then on-hook again and see what happens.

Cheers. But tried that and it's not quite enough. If you send an 'event' if you like to the VM then that will do it, i.e. *17 or VOICE, LISTEN from the handset then hang up immediately that seems to kick it into life and you get the light?

Its just the way the system is designed. Basically that user was not logged in so they didnt get the little message that says light the little light. Ideally Avaya should change the software so that it querys the voicemail server after login to see if the light should light. *17 basically does this query manually.
