VM Pro ports locking up
I have a customer using Phone Manager and analog phones.
The problem i am having is that some users often get the following. "You can not access voicemail due to multiple logins" I can see the user is connected to voicemail in call status but they are not connected on the phone or in phone manager. It can take several hours for the voicemail to drop the call so they can't access voicemail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Reseting the voicemail service is not an option as the customer uses VM Pro heavily. |

Re: VM Pro ports locking up
What versions of IPO firmware, Phone Manager, and VMPro are you running?
As a temporary stop-gap measure, modify your *17 shortcode as follows: SC: *17 TN: ?Ut(10) F: Dial This will limit all voicemail sessions to 10 minutes (adjust as you see fit) so at least they won't have to wait several hours.

Re: VM Pro ports locking up
Quite commonon earlier versions with phone manager to put the voicemail on hold and not be able to retieve it. Can be cleared using the CallStatus application to steal the call - not ideal but saves resetting anything.
Have been testing with V3 and seems fixed now, but haven't had it confirmed from Avaya.

Re: VM Pro ports locking up
They are running
IPOffice 2.1.27 Phone manager 2.1.8 VM Pro 2.1.10 The trick with timeout in the voicemail short code works a treat. Ill have to use that one on all my sites. I also believe that the users were putting the calls on hold but they are not able to see it in phone manager. Thanks |
