We want to use the WAN interface on the Rear of the Unit which is 37-d way type. the ISP provider using digital lines by use telindus crocus sdsl.

this is a digital modem and we call it CSU\DCU and doesn't provide any routing , its Layer 1 in OSI model.its just for making the lines digital. click the link below to see the unit that im talking about.

it uses several digital interfaces like V.35 , X.21 G.703. in this case, the unit using V.35 interface u could see it on the rear when you open the link.


I have connected the WAN interface on the back of IPO unit with that V.35 interface on the telindus modem using V.35 standard cable.



the customer using this line for leased line PPP to connect to the Internet with speed 256 kbps.its permanent connection.


im asking about the access mode in the PPP tab , what i should choose.??


Second thing, the ISP WAN cloud using Cisco routers, so there is any further configuration in the IPO like IP header compression to work with Cisco routers?


i have made some simulation before doining it on real for the customer. i have attached the IPO unit Wan interface through the V.35 to Cisco router.


the Cisco router is DCE becuase it has the Female end , and IPO DTE cuase it uses the Male interface. on Cisco router serial interface which is

connected to IPO through V.35 cables . i have done the following values for the serial interface for Cisco router.


Cisco router

Serial 0=192.168.12.1 ,S.m=255.255.255.0 . static router no rip, encapsulation PPP.


IPO

Wan interface=192.168.12.2,S.M=255.255.255.0

I have attached diagrams and configuration file for the IPO and Log files captured from monitor appliaction.


i have pinged the WAN inetrface and got ping replay ,but i could not ping serail on cisco router"192.168.12.1" , i have got time out.
