I wouldnt recommend using tftp over a wan connection without a secured VPN. And i would STRONGLY recommend you NOT to expose your Ipoffice's TFTP server to a WAN since tftp servers are really easily to hack!

If you have a pc running voicemail pro at this location a would recommend using a remote software to access the pc instead of just remoting into the switch. The reasening behind this is that you can have the mannager application on the pc along with the VM Pro application. If you remote into the pc you can make changes to both applications remotely. I use this on every application.
Remote software: PC Anywhere, NetOps,Terminal Services(Remote Desktop), etc. (Port forwarding must still be set up through a router unless you dial into a modem on a pc.) |
