IPO to fax server

I've started thinking about how to setup the IPO to forward calls from certain DIDs to a fax modem connected on the analog port of the IPO 403. For the Fax -> email setup to work, I need to find a way to let the modem on the analog line know which email address (probably via a phone# -> email address lookup table) to send to. I'm thinking I could setup the CLID passed to the analog line to not be the actually incoming call #, but rather the DID dialed. That way I just setup a list of DID to emails and be done.

So I'm wondering if this sounds possible? Can the IPO change the CLID to the DID for an analog port?

Arrow Re: IPO to fax server

This example from the toolkit might be helpfull:

Individuals and departments can have their own fax numbers.
DTMF tones, which identify individuals are passed to the fax server, which could have as few as one or two lines.

In the following example, when someone dials 5551234, the system dials 501, which is then rerouted to the fax server:

Attach the fax modem to extension 216

Configure extension 216 with Caller Display type = DTMFB

Create a Hunt Group 500 with extension 216 as a member.

Create a User, eg. Fax501 with an extension of 501 and set Forwarding Unconditional to 500

Create an Incoming Call Route to extension 501 where the Incoming Number is the user's required personal fax number. Repeat for each user's personal fax number.

Incoming Number: 5551234

Destination: 501 Fax 501

Re: IPO to fax server

Hrm. That looks like it might work.
I am still curious if anyone knows if the IPO can rewrite the CLID passed to analog entensions.
Anyone know?

Re: IPO to fax server

It is not possible to replace a CLI on a incoming call.
The info i posted sends the targetnumber as DTMF to the fax server.
The fax server then routes the message to the e-mail address for that targetnumber ( =user ).

If you don't have a faxserver attached then this is no option for you and i do not think you can do this without a faxserver.
