Angry IP Office to Definity can it be done?

I have an IP Office 403 with PRI interface. I need to connect this to an Avaya Definity G3Si R8 PBX. Both units sit in the same room side by side. I have a spare T1 circuit pack inside the Definity to use for this project. The only thing I need to do is get dial tone on the IP Office from the Definity. The Definity has 3 PRI's from telco. Can this be accomplished with the items noted? Can the systems be connected together via the PRI - T1 interfaces ? I've been told conflicting answers but need to establish if this can be done. I'm looking for someone with real world experience that has achieved this. Please advise.
Thanks

Absolutely ... can do. Been there, done this. I have done it several times to use the IP office as a "Meet-Me" conference bridge on the Definity. I have attached the appropriate documentation for your convenience. You might have to change some of the translations for your particular application (such as I did in using a 24 port T1 instead of 23B+D PRI) but the general infor is in the file and it's easy to make changes if you know what you're doing.

Unhappy Re: IP Office to Definity can it be done?

Thank you Al for the reply.
I read through the attachment and it was encouraging. Though my application for the IP office differs it leaves me optimistic that this can be done. Since I'm only trying to get dial tone to the IP Office from the Definity for the several stations attached to the IP Office the pdf configuration is a bit more complex. My current concern is the software release of the Definity mine is R8 and herein lies the confusion. You document outlines this with a R11 software can I still connect the two systems and expect dial tone to pass from the Definity to the IP Office using my Definity R8 sofware? Many Thanks.

Al is definately the foremost Definity expert around here, but in case he's tied up - yes, it will work fine with R8. There's nothing overly sophisticated about a point to point T1 like this; no requirement for post R8 features.
