Hi All. I am having a problem with Voicemail Pro service not answering after about 2 hours. The service still shows started. It answers right away after you restart the service.
I have checked to make sure any voicemail to emai l issues are turned off or disabled. Problem started after I bumped it up to the newest version. I downgraded it to 2.0 17 but still have the same issue. Supposedly we are having issues with DNS but that was happening before this. VM is running on a stand alone system with (THIS IS AN INHERITED IP OFFICE) with XP home edition and a whopping 96 Mb of memory. It was running as well as expected before I started my upgrade proceedures. IP Office is on 2.1 24. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone experienced this?! We are planning on adding more memory and upgrading XP home to Professional but I am not sure this will solve it. Thanks for your help... ![]() |

Re: Voicemail Pro - Service suspending or stopping
VMPro stopping after running for 2 hours is a licence issue. Check your licences in manager, I think you will find our VMPro licence shows as invalid. The IPO cannot see the licence key server for some reason - often caused by XP sp2 firewall blocking the feature key server.

Re: Voicemail Pro - Service suspending or stopping
If the license key fixed your problem, great. If not, make sure you have 2.1.10 VMPro running and install the latest patch (2.1.12.2 patch). There have been VMPro lockup problems without the patch.

Re: Voicemail Pro - Service suspending or stopping
Thanks all for your help. This was one of the "stupid" lessons. Duh ...If I had looked back at the documentation, it says the 2 hr thing for the license. The key server wasn't even running....
I had backed down the vm version so I will upgrade with the new patch (14) and move the IP office up to 27. The IP office really does some weird things with 24. Thanks again. |
