Post record calls into anything other then the users mailbox

Has anyone been able to record calls into anything other then the users mailbox?

I know the messages get stored in the user's directory under accounts along with the users actuale voice mails. I never tried it but I'm sure you can manualy copy them out if you new witch one's they are.

Maybe some one can write an app. that would auto-extract the voice recording's I'd be so interested in that. Otherwise the voice recording feature is terible.

Just thinking out loud but maybe assign everyone to one group then turn recording on for the the group. Would it just store all of the recordings in the group mail box?

The voice recording on the IP Office uses a little known Node in Voice Mail Pro Manager as AutoRecord.
If you create this note within the Module options, then use the LeaveMail function to direct the recording to an indevidual mailbox the Supervisors for example.
All recordings would be viewable from the Supervisors extn and you could then turn off the Voicemail option on each of the recorded extns.

Post More info

I told a customer that I could voice record into another mailbox, but I just can't get it to work. I have put around 20 IOP in, so I have a good working knowledge, but no luck on this issue. You are the first person to say that they can do this. I will be forever in debt to you.

Are you just creating an extension that you want voicemails delivered to another. Or a HuntGroup delivered to a group of users.

I would like for the voicemails at a users station to be delivered to thier mailboxes, but have calls automatically recorded to another mailbox for later review.

You can set the voice recording for a user at the "Voice Recording" tab of the user form. The other option is go to the "Voice Recording" tab for Hunt Group. Then the calls are sent to the Hunt Groups mailbox. These are the only two ways I know of.

Maybe you can create a Hunt Group with one member and have it go there instead of the users mailbox. Have ext 5400 record the message and have the message sent to the Hunt group mailbox.
