Telephony login incompatible with softphone
Hi (again)!
Here's my latest problem: I am trying to setup VoIP using iPhone Manager Pro. Until now, my users were able to logon using the Phone Manager Pro logon form or they could logon directly on any analog telephone by typing *35*EXT*PASS# As you all know, the PASS is specified in the User form > Telephony > Login code. When I first tried to setup the softphone, I got the following error: Failed to register with IP Office for VoIP operation: Contact your system administrator. This wouldnt be bad if the system administrator wasnt me. After some testing, I found out that if I clear the above mentioned field, I can login on the softphone. Isn't it great? Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? I can just clear the login field and when needed they can login on the analog phones with no password, but I would like to know if some one else noticed this issue. |

Re: Telephony login incompatible with softphone
Each user has two fields with passwords : on the User tab and one in the Telephony tab.
The password on the User tab is used for RAS dialin and for PhoneManager, the password on the Telephony tab is used for hot-desking on extensions. |
