Dear Friends.

We have big problem with the Re-Dial, i programmed 9 is the "secondary dial tone " to size the trunk group, when the called number is busy user try to redial using the redial key , system dials out including 9 follwed the number.
User very annoied to dial again the whole number.

If i am not using the 9 , the Re-dila is ok,, but some outside number he can't dial due to extns are also same numbering series.Ex 200.202 is the extns numbring series, he can't Dial 235000, 201010

Pls anybody suggest me to solve this problem ,,, customer is very very annoyed.

Thanks & Best Regards.

Re: Redial Problem in IPO

What software version are you using, redail should work with secondary dialtone. (if not I am sure peter & the rest of N Ammerica would be screaming by now.

local numbers should not cause a clash with extn numbers provided you have then Dialed digit count & the Dial delay set corectly

Dialed Digit count should always be at least 1 greater than the number of extn digits

the IPO waits for useres to either dial the number of digets specified or Pause for the dial delay before processing the dialed number.

Re: Redial Problem in IPO

I remember we had a customer with this problem - they encountered in when trying to call customers that had missed calls.

The solution was found by putting in a system shortcode with [n] - i.e. [9]N# (or something similar - my context isnt perfect) then simply put into dial the number N without the prefix attatched. This solved our problem.

Re: Redial Problem in IPO

Try this:

System -> Telephone TAB :
Dial delay time : something between 2000 and 3000 Ms
Dial Delay count : empty

Shortcodes :
Shortcode : 9
Telephonenumber : .
Linegroup : your linegroup number
Function : SecondaryDialTone

Shortcode : [9]N;
Telephonenumber : N
linegroup : your linegroup number
Function : Dial

In the 9 shortcode (NOT in the [9]N; shortcode that one is correct), change the linegroup to 0 regardless of what linegroup you are using, but otherwise yes the above is the standard method of implementing secondarydialtone calling. And yes, it works fine with redial.
