Transtalk 9040 Driving me NUTS!

Well, i just about almost threw this brick of a phone through the wall.

I have been through about 3 phones now, all sharing one problem, and that problem is that AT LEAST once in a conversation, the phone will begin chirping, and disconnect who i am talking to, but beofr cutting them off the phone will emit a SCREAMING sound into the other party's ear... nice, huh?

I figured I cant have signal loss, because the base stations are mounted on the wall in the office behind me, and there are a few other users in my building with this problem, and I dont think it is the phone, considering i have tried 3 other 9040's.... '

Any other idea's?

Thanks in advance :)
-Dan
