Where do you get the latest downloads from?

I've been looking for the latest version of the delta server and ccc, with no sucess. I tried looking after it in the support area of the main website. I also tried to get it from the emea business partner support area, but there's nothing relevant there!

Where do you get it from? Is it provided directly to you from avaya techincal support? Comments and url's would be great! ;)

Delta Server 4.0.29 is on the 2.1 Admin CD, in the CBC folder (it's the same delta server you use for CCC don't worry). CCCv5 isn't out yet, so the link to the CCCv4 CD in the 2.1 section at support.avaya.com should be the latest and greatest.

Thanks. I didn't realize that the Admin CD also had the Delta Server app included.

Check out

http://support.avaya.com/japple/css/...Product=129487

for the latest downloads.

The link should take you to the IP Office section of the avaya technical database.

BTW, remember to install DS 4.0.29 whenever you upgrade firmware to 2.1. Older DS might not work at all... It happened to me and only when our reseller told me about the trick I had it running again

Another irritating bug is that DS (or Archiver, I don't know), logs incoming calls somewhat erratically when agents belong to more than one group. Instead of logging to the group that got the call, it seems to pick one at random.

Are you sure you're not confusing that with the known fact that it will ALWAYS count the call against the highest numbered group the agent belongs to?

If you are getting random logging (and even if you're not since you're using huntgroups), then DOWNGRADE to R2.0.18, the last stable build for IPO. R2.1 has a list of bugs that would make an exterminator shudder. Many many many huntgroup problems.

Known fact... after a colleague told me, because I don't think that's documented anywhere (I admit I haven't read the whole doc CD, however). Anyway, I've elliminated some groups so that agents belong to one and only one, and this problem disappeared, but some reports still show very strange data, even when before the upgrade they worked OK. For example, tabular agent group reports show all calls recorded to one line which is not an agent, but the group itself.

Hopefully, release 3.0 will be a decent one - it's said to be a complete rewriting from scratch. I've been told about the origins of 1.x and 2.x and it doesn't look like a quality design. In fact, it's a marvel that it works at all. If I had to count all the working hours spent trying to fix or workaround things that should work as explained in the manual, I'm quite sure that my company is losing money (and a lot) with IP Office, not counting intangibles as customer satisfaction.
