Dear Friends.
When voice mail left in the Ananlog extn mail box , is there indication like changeing the dial tone when we switch on ring back it rings once , when user not in his/her desk he will not known there is message left in his/her mail box. Our customer does not need ring back , he needs other indicaions ( Visuall / Changing the dial tone) Pls guide me is any programming to be done . Thanks. B.Reddy |

In the extension form, change Message Waiting Lamp Indication Type to On. Depending on what kind of analog phone you are using, you may get a visual MWL:
The IP Office currently only supports lamps using 81V dc signaling. Some analog phones use 90V dc signaling. Even if you aren't able to get this, with this field set to on you should get a stutter dialtone when the user goes offhook when he has new messages. Peter Sherwood |

Also on analog phones with a CLI display, the IP Office does a good job of showing the user they have messages waiting.
In fact the excellent use of the CLI display on analog phones by the IP Office is sadly overlooked by Avaya who naturally really want us to buy one of their phones. |
