Huntgroup VM

I'm trying to setup a huntgroup VM box for the group named "Main" and I want to have a button on a 44xx set go to this voice mail directly without the need to enter the Mailbox # and PIN. The user is part of this huntgroup and already has "HMain" on their source number tabs. The problem is, no matter what I try, all I get is the users personal mailbox and not the huntgroup's.
Anyone ever run into something like this?
I have also tried setting up a short code.

Anyone?

(for now, as a workaround I've setup a VM Module that 'Goto's the get mail for the Main box.. that works.)

Re: Huntgroup VM

The user would also need a VMain entry in the source numbers.
I usually set a shortcode to access a HG VM box e.g.
SC *99
NU = "?Main"
Feature = Voicemail Collect

and then prog *99 under the button

I've already got that part.. so the light works. The problem is that it *always* ask to login. Eg.. Just the standard *17 prompts. I've tried setting up that short code too.. but like I said.. just the standard *17.

Any Ideas?

Re: Huntgroup VM

if the user is not a member of the hunt group you will need to add a passcode to the mailbox

*17 will take the caller into thier personal mailbox & will not play the group mailbox
Unfortunatly I do not know how to get deffinity handsets to identify which mailbox the msg is for, PhoneManage would cure this Problem.

you will need a short code with number set to "?<GroupName>" & feature Voicemail collect to access the mailbox
alternativly is is posiible to programm a soft key for direct access to theis mailbox
Digital telephoney - Action: Voicemail collect, Telephoen number "?<GroupName>"
the passcode will still be req.

All of them are members of the Huntgroup.

When Dialing *17 (this is intuity mode BTW) it asks for the Mailbox # and PIN. You can enter the group VM mailbox # and PIN and get access to it from any phone.. but what I want is *pinless* access from the member's phones.

Again. I've tried that. I get the same results as dialing *17. Box # and PIN required.

Any other thoughts?

Re: Huntgroup VM

I will try & test on a 4612 in the office, (nothing better to do on sat cover anyway, may as well have a play).

I think in intuity mode you will still need the pin but we should be able to scrap the request for mailbox, othewise you may have to switch to ip office mode.

Re: Huntgroup VM

I Have just tested this setup.

IP Office mode will allow direct access to the Mailbox by using a key on the phone.
Intuity mode requires the entry on mailbox & pin.
even enabling Voicmail ringback requires Mailbox & Pin.
I would suggets that you swich VM to IP Office Mode.
(sorry peter perhaps you know of an alternative)

Re: Huntgroup VM

Well.. This is the way I guess I will have to do it. I am posting it here for future reference for people.
What I ended up doing is setting up a VoiceMail Pro Module to accept the incoming call. Then setup a short code to call that module and then assigned that short code to a dial button on the phones. The VMPro Module just does a "Get Messages" action for the wanted mailbox. Looking at it more, I could restrict it some more by putting the short code in the individual users short codes.. but security is not something so important now, and the security by obscurity method is good enough for me for now.

Thanks all for the suggestions.
