Unable to receive voicemails

We are using Voicemail Pro and we have two issues. One is a user has 6 voicemails (I can see the wav files on the server), but when she logs into vm, it tells her that she has none. ????

Second problem - People call an extension and after three rings, it goes into vm....the only problem is your get a recording saying that you're unable to send a message and you get prompted just as if you logged into vm, not as if you called someone and you wanted to leave a message.

Any thoughts on either??

Re: Unable to receive voicemails

Hi Mate,
I think you have a deep configuration problem.

1st - try to enable the interact with desktop on the VM service so you can see the events on voicemail.
My feeling is that the user that should be on the phone is not on the phone so she will not be able to retieve voicemails from another user unless allowed to. You can allow it from the manager on the user tab on source numbers with V[number of the user]
Anyway check for the user name on the retrieve of voicemail. It is gonna be helpful for you.

2nd - have the users diverted their phone to voicemail? there is no need to. The system will do it for them. If you divert your user to *17 the result would be what you are experiencing now. It is by far enough is you enable voicemail on the user. After the noanswertime field has expired it will divert to voicemail.

If you still have problems you can post the VMLog so I can help you further....

Regards,

Re: Unable to receive voicemails

A common & dificult to spot cause of this problem is the user name.

Check that the user name DOES NOT end in a space. This can be seen by highlighting the username fied.
