Answering Call Waiting ???

I have a customer with call waiting trunks to basic 2500 sets. The call comes in, the Call ID on the set shows the call, and they can't figure out how to grab that call. Any help please!

Re: Answering Call Waiting ???

Should just be able to use the switch hook and flash over. Make sure on the extension that the flash settings are defaulted, I noticed in some 2.1 cases those values are set wrong initially.

Re: Answering Call Waiting ???

Defaulted the 403, hooked up two 2500 analog sets. (tried 8 different phones) And they all do the same thing. Call comes in, it display on the CID display of the set. I flash hook and the call goes on hold, and I get a dial-tone with 4 pauses. I can't get it to flash-hook the line without putting the call on hold. Tried every possible short code to grab the call, nothing. Please help!

Re: Answering Call Waiting ???

You are trying to send a flash hook to the analog CO trunk? Setup a shortcode with feature "Flash Hook." Your 2500 set users will have to do a regular flash hook to the IPO analog station port to get the dialtone they are getting now, then dial the shortcode you setup for them to tell the IPO to send a flash hook to the trunk port.
