Question Call Waiting Tone

Does anyone know if there is a way to make a second incoming call (call waiting) ring the telephone instead of just beep in the ear of the person waiting for the call? The receptionist is using a 4424 Magix set on an IP Office 403 box. Their problem is that when they are putting the handset down to hang up a current call, they frequently miss the beep in the ear of the handset. Has anyone run into similar issues? Is there a work-around?

Re: Call Waiting Tone

Waiting call should come through after a short delay when the receptionist hangs up the previous.

The default delay is 2 seconds, to adjust it look at User | Telephony | Wrap-up Time, but you can't set zero, lowest is therefore 1 second. Still if the receptionist is losing calls because of a 1 second breathing space between call then you need to consider havign more than one receptionist.

Re: Call Waiting Tone

Kind of continuuing on from this:- if the receptionist has an urgent call for someone who is already on the phone, is there a way for her to interrupt the guy on the phone and let him know he has a more important call - transfer the call and hang up from the original call? I believe 6408 handsets will be used.....

Re: Call Waiting Tone

Look in Manager for a feature called DialInclusion. Does essentially what you want.
