Remote access to IP Office

Hi there,

I'm trying to remotely access an IP Office 401 through a WAN. I can ping the IP of the Office but i cannot access it using the Manager. I created an entry in Manager under the IP Route tab adding the remote access location and destination LAN1. Am i missing anything or it has to do with the setting of the network(server, router, etc).

Anyone of u guys managed to do that?

Thanks.

Re: Remote access to IP Office

You might want ot start by looking at your firewall settings on the IP Office. Manager uses TFTP to communicate with the IP Office. Make sure that you do not have anything blocking port 69 (TFTP).

Re: Remote access to IP Office

In manager, under file - preferences, you need to specify the exact address of the IP Office. It will not work if you leave it at 255.255.255.255

Red face Re: Remote access to IP Office

Hello
Sorry I'm french...
The Connection is made by Isdn on DDI of the customer Pbx.
1)Setup Incoming Call Route Line Group = 0, DDI = None, Destination = Dialln
In RAS, service Dialln, PPP = MPPC and Callback Mode= Disabled
2) The Remote Manager have Dial In On at Yes.
3) System Configuration setup at Dialing or Dhcp server and the Ras setup at Receive an IP adress...
4) If Not, By default fix the Ip adress of the RAS Connection at 192.168.99.1, the Password is "thepword" and the Lan System Configuration is possible setting at Disabled.

Bye

OhOh...The question is not for Ras but for Wan connection....sorry....But my informations is all right for Ras...

Re: Remote access to IP Office

Thank u guys
It works now. I just had to enter the ip of the remote system instead of 255.255.255.255

Cheers
