Re: Ip Office DoorPhone
I have successfully used doorphones on IP Office. Originally tried the Partner doorphone - but found something about it didn't work well with IP Office - kept going on and off hook. Ended up with similar unit from Viking - works like a champ. Since these units emulate an analog station, you need to program a "?D" shortcode that the device will use when going "off hook". The shortcode can perform virtually any function within the phone system's arena. We usually have it dial a hunt group to force a series of phones to ring.
Hope that helps. Mike |

Re: Ip Office DoorPhone
Greetings:
There is no great way to determine which device is "most compatible" with IP Office. Although I have used the Viking product, I'm sure there are many others that will work equally well. It is really just emulating an analog station. When the doorphone button is pressed, the device goes off-hook. The rest is up to the phone system. The particular model that I have used is Viking's (www.vikingelectronics.com) model E-10. 1. Connect to analog station port. 2. Using the Manager administration application, navigate to the user section and select the analog station to which the device is connected. 3. On the shortcode tab, create a new shortcode as follows: Short Code= ?D Telephone number = Destination where you'd like doorphone to ring, i.e. extension or hunt group Line Group ID = 0 (unless you're having doorphone ring off site, at which point you'd enter a valid line group ID) Feature = Dial Merge and test. Good luck Mike |

Re: Ip Office DoorPhone
try these sites
http://www.northsupply.com/products/pages/door.htm http://www.bpt.co.uk/ If you go for Bpt you will need analogue trunk card and set the line for the door entry to incoming only, change the line group id, then point that id to door hunt group in incoming call route. Hope this helps. |

Re: Ip Office DoorPhone
I think I am having the same problem as you posted about the Avaya Partner analog door phone not working with IP Office. Mine will hear the dial tone then it fades out, the extension it automatically dials can hear the microphone, but the door phone can not hear the person talking to them. I can call the door phone and you can hear me talking on the speaker for a couple of seconds and then it cuts out. Is that what you experienced?
