Heinz, the IP Office will only pull its time from voicemail OR Manager applications, you can't point it to a standard time server IP address. What I do is have the PC running voicemail (or just manager if no voicemail in your config - leave manager running minimized) sync up daily with an internet time server so it's always correct - and then the IP office gets its time from that PC.

Heinz, again, you can NOT do that. IP Office will ONLY get it's time from a PC running voicemail (prefered) OR Manager. You can NOT plug in the IP Address of an internet time server in the system form - that should be the IP address of the PC on your network running voicemail or manager.

Re: TIME Server ?????

Hello Peter,

i hav found a technical doku with:

Time Offset (hours) – By default the main unit receives its time
from either a Voicemail Server or PC running Manager, the unit can
also synchronize its time to an external time server. External time
servers provide time in Universal Time Coordinated (UTC)
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). If this is the case then this value
must be set to the number of hours that your site is ahead or
behind (negative) UTC.

but we have this config, the sync is not run???

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... that does seem to suggest you can do that. I was always under the impression you could only get time from manager or voicemail. I'm unable to test this in my lab due to network security restrictions. However, I'm wondering if you've setup your IP routes in such a was as to allow the IP Office to find its way to the time server. Have you got an entry with blank ip address and subnet mask, destination LAN1, and gateway address set to whatever your router is?
