Question VPN Tunnel connecting 2 IP Offices?

Has anyone created a VPN Tunnel between 2 IP Offices using the VPN
Tunnels in Manager Version 2.0? I have a Central location and a
Remote location connected by 2 T1 routers using a dedicated private
T1 circuit. The routers were in BRIDGE mode and both IP Offices were
on the same subnet (worked great), but Hunt Group Queuing did not
work properly across the BRIDGE. Now the routers are in ROUTING mode
and have thier own IP Address, and the IP Offices are on different
subnets and cannot see each other. I can ping both routers from
either side and PCs too. I am thinking I need a VPN across the T1
link connecting the two IP Offices????

Has anyone done this and does it work? I don't have any 3rd party
VPN devices so I was hoping a could create a VPN tunnel connecting
the two IP Offices.........????

Any advice is greatly appreciated....

You need a licence to use the VPN Tunnel feature of IPO. It's on controlled introduction however, and for good reason - apparently it's not working very well at present. That being said, if you can ping from endpoint to endpoint you should be able to create an IP trunk between the two IP Offices... check your IP Routes and make sure each unit knows where the gateway (router) is to get packets to the subnet on the other side.

Re: VPN Tunnel connecting 2 IP Offices?

Does the VPN within IPO require a tunnel between 2 routers or can it jus t create it within IPO. Would it be beneficial to create the tunnel within IPO as well as having an IPSEC tunnel between the 2 routers as we have done it like that but every 7 days the link drops and the routers find themselves ok but the ip office's dont find each other, so we were wondering if it would make a difference creating the tunnel within IPO!

Cheers Guys

I would focus on why your routers are dropping the ball. I have networked systems utilizing router provided IPSec tunnels with no such problems.
